Double Yellow Line
Double Yellow Line pits a formalistic mode against a narrative mode across a central axis. The first section of the film utilizes the formal and symbolic qualities of a double yellow line to create an illusionistic allegory that extends through time and space. The second section uses the vocabulary of an American Western to explore issues relating to the contemporary experience in the American West, through subverted narrative strategies.
